Kate Garven 

Born on the 18th of February in Sydney Kate Garven joins the cast of home and away as Jade Sutherland.

This is Kate's first television role and she was thrilled when she got it.

"Working on home and away is so much fun. The cast is really great and they have made me feel like I am part of the gang" Kate says

" I think she is a nice person and a very sweet girl. She can be a bit fidgety and she always talks too much. She tends to babble on but genially cares for other people." Kate says about her character.

Kate has done commercials since age seven and has always had a passion for acting. she has done some courses  at the Sydney talent company.

Kate now studies by correspondence due to her home and away workload. She enjoys design technology and English.

  Kate has dancing for most of her life. She started ballet when she was 3 and she started jazz this year.

In 999 she was a finalist for the IA awards for ballet.

Kate shares her home with a beagle poodle named Mitsy, a cat named Tilly and a peacock named Andrew. Kate is lucky enough to live in 25 acres!

In her spare time Kate enjoys chatting on the internet, hanging out with her friends and listening to music. She says her musical tastes change all the time.

Kate's favorite actors are Freddy Prinze jr and Drew Barrymore.
